I have a SUPER SIMPLE little watercoloring project to show you today and it includes only TWO steps. Seriously, you can’tย color any easier than this!
Materials: Stamp (Because I Care, earn this FREE as a hostess), Watercolor paper, Stampin’ UP! Classic Ink Pads (Old Olive, Daffodil Delight andย Pumpkin Pie), Aqua Painter, scissors, Dimensionals, needle and thread, Early Espresso cardstock and ribbon.
*Before starting this project, with your Stampin’ UP! ink pads closed, gently press the top down toward the ink pad inside. This will transfer some ink to the lid – this is what you’ll use for the next steps.
1. Stamp your desired image in solvent ink (such as StazOn). Do not use Stampin’ UP! ink or any other water-based ink for this step as it will run once we start watercoloring.
2. Painting Step 1: Fill your Aqua Painter with water according to the package directions. Place the tip of your Aqua Painter in the lid of your ink pad so it soaks up some ink. ย
3. Painting Step 2: Press the Aqua Painter bristles to the watercolor paper to transfer the ink. The color will be strongest right after you pick it up, and will fade as more water and less ink is put down. There’s NO wrong way to do this, so play around with it! ๐
*When you’re ready to change colors simply wipe your Aqua Painter bristles onto the watercolor paper until it runs clear.
4. Continue putting down ink colors until you’re satisfied with the image.
Tada, totally colored and it took about 15 minutes (which included finding my Pumpkin Pie ink pad in a box in the garage!) TWO steps – YOU can do this! ๐
I cut out the flower, added it to a hand-cut tag of Early Espresso cardstock, stamped the included sentiment from the stamp set, hand-cut and added a few stitches. Retired So Saffron ribbon finished it off:

Love Sparkles Layout and Card
Here are the Love Sparkles projects I created (more to come):
*Sorry for the wonky photo – I didn’t have time/was too lazy to scan it in. ๐
All products used were directly from the Simply Scrappin’ kit. The three dots at the top were simply hole-punched with a standard office hole punch from one of the Chocolate Chip stickers included.
I also created a card with the Whisper White cardstock from the kit:
I used our Beautiful Wings Embosslits from the Holiday Mini (it’s still available!) and my new Perfect Details Texturz Plate Die for use in the Big Shot. I stamped the saying from Very Thankful (proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald Charities!) in So Saffron. Super quick and easy! I think this would be lovely as a wedding or shower thank you as well.
Have a great weekend! ๐
