Hope You Can Cling To

TGIF!! *Today is the LAST DAY of my FREE shipping promotion!! Place your order by midnight CST tonight (either on my website or through me) to receive free shipping!*

I’m participating in a very worthy challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.com – the Hope You Can Cling To challenge! We’re gathering cards to send to breast cancer patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

I will always have a very special place in my heart for MD Anderson. Several years ago my mom underwent surgery there to remove several cancerous organs. She has MS, so this was a very risky proceedure. The doctors and staff took wonderful care of her and she has been CANCER FREE ever since. I thank God when I think of MD Anderson and I’m so thankful for this chance to help other patients there!

One challenge was to make a pink holiday card (any holiday except Valentine’s). I created this pink Christmas card with some retired SU! products and the watercoloring technique I showed you several days ago.

*Sorry for the awful lighting but I finished this up after dark so I had to work with the overhead lights. Ick!

Just wanted to share this to showcase the amazing challenge going on and that holidays don’t have to be in the traditional colors to be fun. 🙂

Have a fabulous Friday!

Simple Birthday Thanks Versitility

I love stamps (obviously! ;)) but I especially love stamps with versitility. I like to use my purchasing power to really get milage out of my supplies. Take for example the “Simple Birthday Thanks” stamp from Stampin’ UP!

Simple Birthday Thanks Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!

While I love the simple thank-you note on the inside of the cupcake, did you know you could take that out? Before I mounted this stamp I used an Xacto knife to cut out the wording portion (and the wording on the identification sticker). These I mounted separately so I can use just the cupcake, just the wording, or both.

Here is a paper-pieced version of this cupcake in my Mama Bear Stamps Etsy shop right now (I used scraps for this people – YOU can do this!!)

King Kandy, Candyland Collection Embellishment
And here are some examples of this stamp used with Stampin’ UP! supplies:

All these designs (and so much more) can be created with just this ONE stamp! And for only $17.95 it’s a steal!
If you love this Stampin’ UP! stamp (and all the others!) you can earn it FREE just by inviting your friends over and stamping with me and the gang! Contact me today to set up a workshop in your home or mine and enjoy all the fun, creativity, and FREE products Stampin’ UP! has to offer!
Want even more fun? Visit the “Join My Team” tab at the top of my blog. Demonstrators receive FREE stamps and supplies, free catalogs, everything you need to share the joy of stamping with those you love. Plus, receive extra goodies throughout the year from me and our big SU! team! 🙂
Have a great and creative week everyone!

Love Sparkles Layout and Card

Here are the Love Sparkles projects I created (more to come):

*Sorry for the wonky photo – I didn’t have time/was too lazy to scan it in. 😉

All products used were directly from the Simply Scrappin’ kit. The three dots at the top were simply hole-punched with a standard office hole punch from one of the Chocolate Chip stickers included.

I also created a card with the Whisper White cardstock from the kit:

I used our Beautiful Wings Embosslits from the Holiday Mini (it’s still available!) and my new Perfect Details Texturz Plate Die for use in the Big Shot. I stamped the saying from Very Thankful (proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald Charities!) in So Saffron. Super quick and easy! I think this would be lovely as a wedding or shower thank you as well.

Have a great weekend! 🙂

Howdy!

I'm Tammy Moore, a scrapbooking fanatic in Austin, TX. Thanks for stopping by my little space on the web. Feel free to contact me any time!

Why “Mama Bear Stamps”?

A few years ago my daughter and husband gave me the nickname "Mama Bear" and I've used it ever since! This year I even conqured my fear of needles and had the Chinese symbols of mother and bear tattooed above my right ankle. When I started this blog, I knew I wanted to go by my nickname: Mama Bear. But you can call me Tammy if you'd like. :)
